This helmet is designed with a honeycomb structure to help distribute the force such that the trauma on the head can be lessened on impact. Luckily for me I was wearing it on one of my previous ski trips and thus only had minor concussion when I fell. I can’t recall exactly what happened but I did feel the pain spreading across my head. The pain started from a central point and then moved simultaneously towards the right and left. Upon inspection afterwards, I noticed the helmet had two cracks: one on the outside supposedly where the impact hit, and the other on the inside close to the front of the head. It was a bummer the helmet cracked after the first trip used it, but hey, it saved my life! Note: I think the width runs a bit different on this one. I usually wear a medium sized with the knob to the smallest setting, but was feeling dizzy with this one, so I had to constantly adjust the knob to different settings for when I was on the lift vs when I’m actually skiing. If you are considering purchasing this helmet, def try it out in person first to see how well it fits!

My last helmet left me with a humm-dinger of a concussion, I’m talkin’ Dazed and Confused the Sequel. I didn’t know what to do with myself, I was lost… Until this puppy showed up at my front door. No rock can pierce it, not tree can scratch it and no matter how big the storm, no wind shall enter this cranial chamber. If Thor were to put on another helmet, this would be it.
