It was light, comfortable, and stylish, but it will not protect you in a collision. I dropped it off a 10 foot ledge and it got a large dent, rendering it unwearable. If you hit a solid object while skiing in this it will not survive the collision, and it will do very little to protect you. If you are looking for an inexpensive helmet to wear for a few days of skiing, I recommend renting one instead of buying this.

It was vital that I had a orange helmet to match my extremely cool Orage high tech ski shell and my Turtle Fur.
I exclusively used this helmet for shredding the gnar at Crested Butte and Telluride. I will say this helmet allowed me to ski way better than you, despite being almost 60. Yes, that was me the only free heel alpine skier on the mountain…
Technically the helmet is light. It is warm as evident I wore it in a below zero temps (that’s in F) at Crested Butte on one morning grabbing first chair. It is a good brain bucket for a low price. But as mentioned I bought it for the color. Added bonus is my big FIS World Cup braid looks awesome sticking out of it. All the other girls on the mountain approve.
If you want to look and ski as good as I do…you probably can’t but you can buy this helmet as a good start. But unless you are 12…and plan on skiing for the next 45 years…yeah…you get the picture.
All right, good then. Buy one for next season and hopefully we can ride a chair together …no worries I won’t mind cruising a blue or two with you. I love all kinds of skiing even the pedestrian kind.
